I manifest this finds you well! This writing is to bring awareness to the New Moon in Libra, the Solar Eclipse, the cosmologies behind it ,and how you can use this energy to enhance your being. Enjoy the read!

On Winds-day, October 2, 2024, we are being blessed with the energies of a cosmic event. That event is the annular solar eclipse, hand in hand with the New Moon in Libra.

This comes in the week’s climax day, sacred to the Orisa Oya. In Orisa tradition, Oya is the divine feminine essence who brings transformations, transitions, and endings. There are no transformations greater than endings and beginnings needed to transcend into higher levels of living.

This day vibrates on an 11/2, a number of divine mastery. In Orisa tradition, 11 is the number of Osoosi, the energy that fast-tracks us to our highest destinies. 

The moon is new in Libra, bringing equilibrium and balance all the way around, as we are in Libra  season. New moons are for setting new intentions, as the Libra scales bring love, harmony, balance… and karmic justice. Needless to say, people born in the house of Libra will feel this energy FAR more intensely than the other 11 houses.

2 is the number of the divine feminine, so the Venus energies of nurture will raise at an all time high. We also have 5 planets in retrograde, almost as if the Heavens regressed certain energies, and slowed things down a bit to prepare us for this point. These events combined will bring an intense spiritual illumination for those who seek to live more…aligned. It will also bring serious karma to those who have been dancing on the wrong side of Esu’s crossroad…especially if they have been targeting divine people.

How do you harness, utilize, and apply these energies into your life? 

No matter how you demonstrate your faith, take a deeper time to meditate before going into your ritual.  I would suggest that you center it around ending any and all thought patterns, beliefs, habits, relationships, and all other things that are keeping you from becoming the highest version of yourself.  Visualize what your new life looks like, and let yourself release all energies opposite of it. Why is this important? In your highest vibration, you can manifest solutions to life’s challenges much more smoothly and effectively. This is the 5d way of life, and another step in spiritually advancing into the Aquarian Age…so make your spiritual growth groovy! Beam Up!

Summer Solstice is a universally allotted time to go within for restoration and deeper clarity.  They are times of retreat, self enjoyment and reflection. Summer Solstice is a fermenting space between Spring Equinox’s essence of rebirth and Autumn Equinox’s harvest energy.

I like to think of changing seasons as scene changes in life’s stage play. Summer Solstice is one of four of Mother Nature’s set scenery shifts. The word solstice derives from the Latin word “solstitium,” with sol meaning “sun” and “sistere” meaning “to be still”. The sun rules zodiac house 5, Leo. 

 At the peak, the climax of Summer Solstice, we come out of Cancerian emotional energy, and into that which sets our hearts aflame! Energetically, we take the emotional revelations of the moon season, and charge them in divine purpose. Since Leo rules the heart and the spine, you may find yourselves getting bold in the backbone…and having a lot more heart. Internally, this season takes us to the core of our hearts, and challenges our divine audacity.

 Leo is the fixed fire of the zodiac, and fixed fire masters control. I like to call it the simmer. This can be balanced or imbalanced, depending on what the focus of control is. When that focus is on controlling self, it is an energy of mastery. When it is used to control others, the Leo energy can be a destructive dictatorship. 

Leo energy stimulates the royal self in us all! We are the ONLY zodiac sign ruled by the Sun, as all other planets orbit around it. The sun charges all in the solar system, and Leo people must embrace this divine right with balanced humility. On the other side of that balance, Leo sun people should also keep a balance in self care and nurture, as we are often left to recharge ourselves…much like the sun.

This year, Leo season began on a full moon in its opposite house, Aquarius. This cosmic alignment brought about a huge energetic balance, and possible surge for Leo sun people. This planetary alignment echoes the alignment from the 12 Figures of African Spirituality. This zodiac system predates the standard western one. In this system, Leo season aligns with the signs “The Witch and the Judge” and “The Kola Nut.”

One sister is watching the other one’s back as she starts a fire. Images as these are important to share, because they show unity in action between powerful black women. They document journeys of creative journeys, and what happens when like energies align. Images as these display the power of feminine unity. One, a one woman radio station, the other, a one woman magazine. It is also symbolic because one sister is watching one’s back, a polar opposite of what mainstream media pushes with constant catfighting. The green she wears is for grounding, the red I wear is for passion. We are both submerged in the blue…oceans of The Mother energy.  It’s Summer Solstice! Break out the grills, ice chests, loud music, and let the good times roll! It’s interesting that during this season, children are released from school so that they can charge during summer break. This so they will be both well charged and well rested, ready for learning when school starts in the fall.

 Summer Solstice is a universally allotted time to go within for restoration and deeper clarity.  This is why so many summer vacations are had. They are times of retreat, self enjoyment and reflection. Summer Solstice is a fermenting space between Spring Equinox’s essence of rebirth and Autumn Equinox’s harvest energy.

 At the start of Summer Solstice, we come out of Gemini season’s thinktank energy, and into balancing our emotional selves through nurture! Energetically, we take the intellect of our dualities (Gemini Energy), and connect the mind to our emotions (Cancerian Energy)!  It’s an energetic shift of focus from the head to the heart. 

The spirit of the sun turns up the heat this season, for divine reasons. As we all know, heat expands many things, including our body’s pores…opening them wide to dump out what isn’t needed.

This year, Summer Solstice comes on a full moon in Sagittarius, already calling us to aim high, and expand in Jupiter’s essence! Full moons raise emotional tides the highest, and the first sign of summer solstice is the Moon season of Cancerians! The first thing the Sun’s stillness arouses is the Moon! 

In the Western way of the stars,  summer solstice begins in the cardinal water sign of the Moon children.  This is the 4thhouse of the zodiac, and the earth moves on fours. This  is a very foundational season!  Cardinal signs in the western astrology system end one season and begin the next. This planetary alignment echoes the alignment from the 12 Figures of African Spirituality. This zodiac system predates the standard western one. In this system, summer begins in the water sign of The Ancestor.  In both systems, summer begins in moon ruled water, and water is the divinely feminine element that births, nurtures, cleanses, purifies, and replenishes all!

Because of this, some of you may experience sudden surges in emotion, in areas you may have thought  were resolved.  It is ok if this happens.
